Leder Games is a medium-sized studio based in St. Paul, MN that designs and produces innovative board games. We market our titles to become the owner’s new favorite game, games that will require mastery over many plays. Leder Games makes Ahoy, Arcs, Fort, Oath, Root, and the Vast series, as well as many projects on the horizon

 

We are seeking someone to fill our Executive Director of Operations role in our St. Paul, MN office. This position is in-person, and not available as a remote opportunity. 

Executive Director of Operations

Operations Executive Leadership

  • Oversee daily operations of the company.

  • Design and implement plans and procedures for the operations team.

  • Contribute to long term business strategies.

  • Set goals for performance and growth.

  • Lead initiatives to strategically pivot goals as necessary.

  • Guide company culture and development.

  • Act as liaison with HR representatives.

  • Conduct employee performance reviews. 

  • Prepare and present quarterly finance reports.

  • Liaise with the studio legal team.

Business Management

  • Manage day to day accounting activities.

  • Coordinate and implement employee benefit programs.

  • Invoice management (international and US-based companies)

  • Tax management (Payroll taxes, federal and state taxes, VAT payments, tariffs and duties etc.)

  • Payroll management (Adjustments, automatic payments, etc.)

  • Copyright management (DMCAs, counterfeit takedowns etc.)

Business Development

  • Participate in expansion activities such as investments and corporate alliances.

  • Utilize investment strategies for the company as a whole.

  • Kickstarter campaign management (Pricing, product profiles, customer profiles etc.)

Other Duties

  • Attend conventions as able.

  • Flexibility to coordinate with partners in other time zones.

  • Facilities and Office Management

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of the board game industry.

  • Previous management experience.

  • Accounting experience.

  • Knowledge of Leder Games’ titles is preferred.

  • This job will require presence in the Saint Paul office in Minnesota.

Compensation

This role will pay between $80,000 to $100,000 USD. We have annual raises as well as raises connected to funding milestones. We provide health, dental, and vision insurance. In addition we provide a 401K program, disability insurance, life insurance, and health savings account. All employees participate in a bonus pool after 6 months in their role tied directly to company performance.
